Founder
Monique Idlett-Mosley, renowned visionary and entrepreneur, is the Founder and Executive Director of Always Believing Foundation. In 2017, she founded Reign Venture Capital, an early stage investment firm that focuses on women and minority led startups. She has guided several start-up companies to success as an investor and board member, most recently with Appy Couple and LISNR. Since 2014, she has served as a National Trustee for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
As the former CEO of Mosley Brands and Mosley Music Group, Monique is acclaimed for her innovative strategic vision, serving as a liaison between the corporate world and entertainment’s most iconic brands. Monique has lent her industry expertise to FOX’s record-breaking, #1 television series, Empire, as a music and fashion consultant and is a former executive at USA Today.
Executive Director
Being born with Spina Bifida, as a young girl, Shakira had an amazing support system that equipped her with the proper tools to believe in herself, overcome all obstacles, and accomplish any goal. She used her education in photojournalism from the Ohio State University, along with a continued education in psychology and sociology at UNCC, to start her own business as a freelance photographer. For almost two decades, Shakira has used her skills as a private family and event photographer to capture the true beauty and essence in all people and circumstances.
Shakira has worked closely with the Always Believing Foundation since its inception. She has supported its mission in helping to teach young girls their value and worth by having an overall healthy self-esteem and lifestyle. She believes in being an example to young girls and teaching them that no matter the trials they may encounter in life, giving up is never an option.
Creative Director
Deric Skinner graduated in 2016 with a bachelors in graphic web and design. His consistency and dedication led him to be awarded best in show amongst his peers. Deric specializes in brand development, print/web graphics and type treatment. His versatile design style allows him to be flexible and open to an array of concepts.
ANDREA PERILLA
Manager
Andrea was born in Bogotá, Colombia and moved to Central Florida when she was 11. She overcame the language barrier and graduated in the top 5% of her graduating class. She received the presidential scholarship at Florida International University where she graduated with a Chemistry degree. She tutored throughout college and realized that she had a passion in helping others be academically successful. She finds joy in seeing students overcome learning barriers and gain self-confidence as they do better in school. This passion is what led her to join the Always Believing Foundation family. She believes that all girls are capable of great things and all they need is an encouraging hand to guide them.
